Conditions of sale

Last updated: October 12, 2026

Draft, not yet reviewed by a lawyer. It describes how SKINMENU works today and may change before it is final.

Who sells to you

You buy from the store named on the product and on your order. The store is the seller: your contract of sale is with the store, and it is responsible for the goods, their delivery and your rights as a buyer.

Every store on SKINMENU sells in the course of its business, so the consumer rights of EU law apply when you buy as a consumer.

SKINMENU runs the website, the checkout and the order emails for the store. How SKINMENU's own service works is in the SKINMENU terms of use.

This shop is run on SKINMENU. Makberta sells to you; SKINMENU runs the website, the checkout and the order emails for it, and takes card payments for it. SKINMENU's terms of use and privacy policy apply to that part.

These conditions

They apply to every order from the store placed on SKINMENU, on the marketplace or on the store's own shop. Withdrawal and returns is part of them. Where a rule applies only to consumers, it says so.

If your basket has items from more than one store, you make a separate contract with each store.

Your order

You place the order with the order button at checkout. The contract is made then. We email you a confirmation of the order, with each store's part.

You can see your order, its parcels and its invoice on your order page.

Prices

Prices include VAT where the store charges it. A store that is not registered for VAT charges none, and its invoice says so. Delivery is priced by each store for your country and delivery method; you see it before you pay. A store may deliver free above an amount it sets.

The price you pay is the one shown at checkout.

Paying

You pay in one of the ways the store offers, shown at checkout:

  • Bank transfer in advance: to the store's bank account, within 7 days, with the details in your order confirmation. The store sends the order once your payment arrives. An order not paid within 7 days is cancelled.
  • Cash on collection: at the store's counter when you collect.
  • Invoice: for business buyers with a trade account at the store, by the due date on the invoice.
  • Card: charged when you place the order. SKINMENU usually takes the card payment for the store and passes it on; some stores take card payments themselves.

Delivery

The store delivers to the countries and by the methods offered at checkout: by courier, to a parcel locker, or for collection at the store. Each store sends its own parcels.

Items in stock are sent by the store as soon as it can.

Items the store orders for you are marked as such before you buy. The store orders them after you buy and gives you a delivery date within one working day; it tells you if the date changes.

Unless a date is agreed with you, the store delivers without undue delay and no later than 30 days after the contract is made. If it does not, you can give it a reasonable extra time and then end the contract.

A store may send your order in more than one parcel at no extra cost to you. You are told as each one is sent.

Goods sent by SKINMENU. Some stores keep goods at SKINMENU's Vault. Those goods are sent by SKINMENU for the store, and your order shows "Fulfilled by SKINMENU". If you choose to keep them in the Vault, they are sent when you ask, and delivery is charged then.

Cancelling before anything is sent

As long as the store has sent nothing from its part of your order, you can cancel it, or the items you choose, free of charge, and you are refunded at once. As a consumer you do this with Withdraw from contract here on your order page (see Withdrawal and returns). If you buy for your business, the same button on your order page reads Cancel order.

Withdrawal

As a consumer you can withdraw within 14 days of delivery, without giving a reason. How, and what happens then, is in Withdrawal and returns.

Goods that are not as agreed

The store is responsible if the goods are faulty or not as described.

As a consumer: - the store is liable for any lack of conformity that appears within two years of delivery; one that appears within the first year is presumed to have existed on delivery; - tell the store within two months of discovering the problem; - you can ask for repair or replacement, free of charge; where that is not possible or not done in reasonable time, a price reduction or ending the contract; returning faulty goods costs you nothing; - the law of the country where you live may give you more; nothing here limits it.

As a business buyer, tell the store within a reasonable time and describe the problem precisely.

Write to the store at info@makberta.com, or reply to your order email.

Complaints and disputes

Write to the store first. If you cannot agree, and you live in Estonia and the store is registered in Estonia, you can turn to the Consumer Disputes Committee (Tarbijavaidluste komisjon), Endla 10A, 10122 Tallinn, avaldus@komisjon.ee, ttja.ee. If you live in another EU country, the European Consumer Centre in your country can advise you.

Business buyers

If you buy for your business, for example on a trade account, the consumer rules in these conditions — withdrawal, the two-year period, the dispute body — do not apply, unless the law says otherwise. Invoice terms are those on your trade account and invoice.

Law

Estonian law applies. If you are a consumer living in another EU country, you keep the protection that the law of your country gives you and that cannot be excluded by agreement.
